About John-Paul Langbroek MP

JP Langbroek is a proud Gold Coast local, father of three and husband of Stacey. He was elected as the Member for Surfers Paradise in 2004, and currently serves as the Shadow Minister for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Candidature, Sport, Racing, and Multicultural Affairs for the LNP.

Prior to the 2015 election, JP was the Education Minister in the former LNP Government. He is the son of a former school principal and teacher, and is a proud product of the State Education system. JP is unashamedly pro-jobs, and entered politics to ensure that Gold Coasters were heard loud and clear in Parliament.

Before entering politics, JP was a dentist who ran his own practice in Surfers Paradise and Ashmore. JP is a Titans supporter and Gold Coast Suns fan.

Currently serving as Minister for Education and the Arts in the Queensland LNP Government, JP brings decades of experience in public service and community advocacy to his role.

JP is happy to assist with all State Government matters.
